Warning! Collaboration Announcement!
We've read news about Tomino-sensei's scheduled press conference. So what was the result of it all?
On January 21st 2014 -JST- at the Tokyo American Club was the local chosen for this particular press conference.
Ookaze no Okurusama and Legacy Effects will be doing a collaboration alongside with Tomino Yoshiyuki to bring us some -what I hope it to be- awesomeness in his new animated project. Unfortunately, no title has been given as of yet. Sad... I know...
John Robert Rosengrant, Shane Mahan, Lindsay McGowan, and J. Alan Scott also joined Tomino at the conference.
Furthermore, the two companies are planning a Live Action film adaptation of an unnamed children's literary work from Iwanami Shoten -publisher-. The project will be developed in both countries -Japan and United States- where the American side will be handling the script and actual visuals.
No more information has been given out due to "having not cleared all the rights". But his enthusiasm carries on as Tomino-sensei plans on not only projects based on his earlier works, but muses about one or two entirely new works "by the age of 87". Pretty good there sensei!
The two companies are collaborating in movie production business focused on "movies based on Japanese Manga and Animation from Hollywood to the World". To those not knowledgeable about Tomino's other works, they include titles such as: Muteki Koujin Daitarn 3, Densetsu Kyojin Ideon, Aura Battler Dunbine, Overman King Gainer, Star Blazers, and many many more!
What say you to this? Excited maybe? Don't really care? Already wondering how horrifying this will turn out? Well stay tuned for whenever more news comes to light!
